Projects
Organize your dynamic links into projects with custom subdomains.
What Are Projects
Projects are the top-level organizational unit in LinkSense. Each project acts as a container for your dynamic links and gets its own subdomain. Think of projects as separate workspaces — you might have one for your production app, one for a marketing campaign, and another for testing.
Every dynamic link you create belongs to exactly one project. The project determines the subdomain used in the link URL, any registered iOS or Android apps, and the analytics dashboard view.
Creating a Project
To create a new project, navigate to the Dashboard and click the "New Project" button. You will need to provide:
- Project name — A descriptive name for your project (e.g., "My Mobile App")
- Subdomain — A unique subdomain that will be used in your link URLs
The subdomain is set when the project is created and cannot be changed afterward. Choose carefully, as this becomes part of all your link URLs.
Plan limits
The number of projects you can create depends on your plan. The Starter plan allows 1 project, while the Pro plan allows up to 10 projects. Check the Plans & Billing page for current limits.
Project Settings
From the project settings page, you can:
- Update the project name
- Register iOS and Android apps for deep linking
- View project-level analytics
- Manage dynamic links within the project
Subdomains
Each project has a unique subdomain under the LinkSense root domain. Your dynamic link URLs follow this format:
https://your-subdomain.linksense.net/custom-pathSubdomains must be unique across all LinkSense users. They can contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. Reserved words (like "app", "api", "www") cannot be used as subdomains.
Deleting a Project
Irreversible action
Deleting a project permanently removes all of its dynamic links, app registrations, and analytics data. This action cannot be undone. Any existing links using the project's subdomain will stop working immediately.
To delete a project, go to the project settings page and scroll to the danger zone at the bottom. You will be asked to confirm the deletion by typing the project name.
